Hi!
Just got my "Serial Ethernet Board", hocked up to PortC on my EasyPic5, to CN3 on the ethernet board and all switched are on 5V.
EasyPIC 5 is powerd via USB to my PC.
When I program my P16F887 from EasyPIC 5 (example code), I get an error as soon the programmer starts:
"Error trying to activate programmer, Can't drop PIC power supply voltage to enter program mode"
If I disconnect the Serial Ethernet Board I can program the pic.
My Micro C is version 8.2.0.0
EasyPIC 5 + Serial Ethernet Board Error.

Re: EasyPIC 5 + Serial Ethernet Board Error.
Hi,
Please turn off all switches on your development board and remove all peripherals (GLCD, LCD, etc.) from your development board while programming. In some cases, if some MCU's pin is connected to Vcc all the time the MCU gets parasite power supply and programmer cannot make the short 0V pulse and send the MCU to program mode.

Yes I notised if I disconnected the extra board then I could program the PIC, and webserver example works fine. Just want to check if I did something wrong.
Another question regarding the "Serial Ethernet Board". Can I use it as a TCP client? So I can connect to my PC and send simple ASCII commands from a PIC. If so any code examples?

Hi,
Current ethernet library doesn't have tcp client support.
