NB IoT 2 Click high power consumption

#1 Post by husq » 12 Mar 2024 18:49

Hi,

I have a NB IoT 2 Click and I have seen that the power consumption is around 6mA in PSM mode (should be around 3.5 μA). I am powering the board through pins 3v3. Any idea what it could be?

Thanks

Hi,

Can you tell me how the BC66-NA was set to sleep mode?

The 6mA is strange, since none of the available modes use 6mA.

Regards,

Ivan.

Yes, it goes into PSM mode but I have seen that vdd_ext is high, and it should be at 0V.

Whatever I do, the minimum consumption I get is 6mA.

Hi,

If the voltage on VDD_EXT is high, then that means that the module did not enter sleep mode.

Did you use the AT commands below?
AT+QSCLK=1

Yes, I executed that command, and the module gives me a message that it is entering PSM mode but I don't know why it doesn't do it.

nothing?
I would like to know if it is a hardware problem and how to solve it.
