Programming NFC 2 Click w/iPhone

#1 Post by jrx07 » 23 Jan 2024 17:08

Hello,

I just received an NFC 2 Click dev. board, but so far I cannot program the chip with my iPhone XR (iOS 16, Apps: NXP Tag Writer and NTAGI2C_Demo apps).

Using the NXP Tag Writer app, I tried writing a URL to the phone. The writing says it is successful, but upon reading the chip, I get no data back.
I've also tried formatting the tag using the NXP Tag Writer app. I then get the error "No NDEF messages found." -- I thought I was formatting the tag for NDEF though ? It says it is only for Type-2 tags.

Do I need to first program the chip over i2c or is over a phone OK ?

Thanks for any tips!

Hi,

The click is intended to work with an MCU controlling it through the I2C.

You can see our example code in the link below:

Regards,

Ivan.
