Flip&Click SAM3X Can't download from Arduino IDE with both USB ports connected

Arduino IDE v2.0.4 on Windows 10.

Downloading works fine so long as only the "programming" USB port is connected;

If I have both the "programming" USB port and the "host/device" USB port connected, the download fails saying, "no device found" - despite the fact that the Windows Device Manager shows that both ports are connected:

The setups:

Downloading to a genuine Arduino DUE works fine in both cases.

Any ideas?

Hi,

Make sure that you are connected to the correct COM port when uploading the Sketch.

Worked fine for me when i tried connecting both connectors.

Also the two connectors do not have any connections between them, so i am not sure what would cause the issue regarding the HW.

Yes - you can see in the screenshot that the "DUE Programming Port" is selected.

There's the circuitry around U4 - what's that doing?

That is the same version i have, can you send me a detailed picture of both sides of your Flip&Click?

Also try removing everything from the Flip&Click MikroBUSes when trying to program the board with both connectors plugged in.

I can't remember if I did have anything plugged in or not - so will give it a go ...

With everything removed from the Flip&Click MikroBUSes, I still get the same problem.

I have updated the Arduino IDE to v2.1.0 - still get the same problem.

Hi,

I checked the Flip&Click again, and this time i got the same issue as you, it looks like it worked for me the last time because my USB ports tend to bug out sometimes, and the COM port got bugged out when i tried programming, which is the same as if i didn't connect it at all.

Bad luck....

I have forwarded this to the HW team so they can take a look at the issue and come up with a new design for this board.
