Compatibility between mikromedai 7 boards and MCU card

#1 Post by jmna » 22 Dec 2022 03:36

Hi all.

I purchased the following product for my project.

1. Mikromedia 7 Capacitive FPI with frame
2. MCU CARD 24 for STM32 STM32F722VE
3. mikroProg™ for STM32

Is the mikromedia 7 board and MCU card that I bought incompatible?
I tried to download the F/W, but the download program showed me as a no device and did not recognize the device.
When I asked the vendor, they said that the MCU card is not supported on the mikromedia 7 board, is that right?

Hi,

The mikromedia 7 and MCU cards are compatible for sure, they have the matching socket.

How did you connect mikroProg and mikromeda 7 ? Post some photos please.

Regards,
Filip.

Hi filip.

Thank you for your interest in my inquiry.

I connected the mikromedia7 board and mikroPorg as shown in the picture below

Then, when I selected the "detect MCU" in mikroProg(ver 1.61), is showed that the device could not be
found as shown below
No_device.png

I set the switch on the board as below
- SW2 : On position
- SW1 : Left position/ right position (I tried both, but it didn't work)

Please let me know if there is anything else I can try.

Thank you, and happy new year!

Hi filip.

First of all, the problem has been resolved.

After checking the manual again, I realized that I connected the mikroPro connector incorrectly.
However, after connecting the connector correctly, the device was still not recognized.

I thought MikroProg was a st-link based tool, so I tried and recognized it through the ST-link utility program provided by ST.
After that, when I performed the detect MCU through the mikroProg program again, the device was recognized normally.
I don't know why it wasn't recognized right away and it was recognized after using the ST-link utility program,
but it seems that all the problems have been solved.

Thank you for your interest.
