SmartGM862 & Telit & Python

Hello,

Recently I bought SmartGM862 board and Telit GM862 GMS module. In it's documentation (Telit_Easy_Script_Python_r13.pdf) I see that I can use Python to control it so I don't need uC. What I wonder now is: has Mikroelektronika any tool so that I can download Python compiled file to Telit module? In documentation it is described how Python file should be downloaded to module via serial port, but my laptop hasn't COM ports. Also, why would I need COM port when I purchased SmartGM862.

So do you have any advice how can I download Python file to Telit GM862?

USB-UART Board is just the thing you need if your PC doesn't have COM port.
