Easypic5 and Mikoe software

#1 Post by RodNas » 30 Jun 2008 10:56

Hi all,

I'm going to buy an easypic5 board, toghether with MikroC compiler.

Just a question. I wish in the near future to try learning assembler. In case i want to use an assembler compiler, Mplab or any other, or another C or basic compiler instead of mikroc, do you know if it is possible or am i supposed to use only Mikroe products with it?

I intend to buy it anyhow, couse as testing board i think it is very useful. Just want to know if one day i will have to unplug the PIC, put it in a propic programmer, compile and then put it again on easypic for testing. Kinda boring...

Thanks!

Hi,

Our PICFLASH programmer accepts hex files in Standard Intel Hex Format. If that compilers can create hex files in this format, I see no problem why you shouldn't be able to use these compilers.
