MIKROE-3309 Oscillator

#1 Post by nabruxas » 09 Apr 2022 00:16

The WAVEFORM CLICK contains a 25MHz (Marking: DCP1807) Oscillator / Clock Generator.
Refering to the datasheet, the AD9833 can also used with a 1MHz oscillator, to get slower waveforms, <100mHz.
Can you please tell me the type of oscillator which is used in the MIKROE-3309. In the schematics it's called Y1 but no further data.
If possible tell me an appropriate 1MHz generator.

Hi,

I believe I have answered you on the HelpDesk regarding this.

Not really! :(
I asked for a suggestion of a 1 MHz (!) oscillator, but you reccommend a 1.544MHz Osciallator.
So the question ist NOT answered correctly. Just an answer....

And here's a new question regarding the Waveform click:

In the circuit diagram you can see a capacitor, C4 (NP) without a value and not soldered.
Can you tell me the purpose of this capacitor and the value?
