Demo code size limitation

#1 Post by Novakiss » 24 Sep 2019 12:52

I have 8 bit PIC license and I like programming with mikrobasic.
My new and current project require more performance and I'm planning to buy dsPIC or PIC32 compiler, that's why I started to evaluate dsPIC first to see if it enough performance for my task. What is demo code size limitations for dsPIC and PIC32? For PIC-18 it was something like 4kB as I remember.

A search for "demo limit" in the help utility reveals this:
What are limitations of demo versions of mikroElektronika's compilers ?

The only limitation of the free demo version is that it cannot generate hex output over 2K of program words. Although it may sound restrictive, this margin allows you to develop practical, working applications without ever thinking of demo limit. If you intend to develop really complex projects in one of our compilers, you should consider purchasing the license key.
Start every day with a smile...... (get it over with) :)
