It's a disappointment.
You make fine compilers, but the lack of awareness for updates and bug fixes makes me shiver. (we have to live with the crappy IDE for years now)
I think all fixes and updates only take a few days. Why postpone them and make customers angry? I really don't understand that.
If you don't find this satisfactory, you are a free man - so you may use any tool you like
Such an answer is unreasonable, offending and incomprehensible...

Peter.

At this moment we are preparing release for the ARM.
After that for the first quarter of the next year we planed to release update for dsPIC.

We will give our best to make it.

Once more time, thank you for your patience and we apologize for delays.

Aleksandar
First quarter is over and no pic24fj128ga202/204 update yet. So any news?

In January 2014 they scheduled PIC32MZ for that quarter. It was eventually released 20 months later.

This release will be ready when you see it. If your project needs it now, then you better make other plans.

It's eery quiet around compiler updates. I've gone to Microchips own compilers now, because they at least care about their customers and add support for new MCU's as they become available...
But I still would like to continue with the Mikrobasic compilers, because I like the language. Only without any support that's not possible. Very annoying...

We now need also urgently support for the 24FJ256Gx40x / 24FJ256Gx41x / 24FJ1024Gx60x / 24FJ1024Gx61x
It really is a pity. I've spoken to a lot of engineers that have chosen also for other compilers, just due to the lack of support. Support of new MCU's and bug fixes should be a priority.
And regrettably both aren't there... :( . (most bug reports are just confirmed, and never solved...)

Peter.

Dear Arco,

Our developers are planing to start adding new chips to dsPIC compiler very soon.

I have added this MCU's which you suggested to the list and they will consider it for this update.

If you have some other MCU's that you want to be supported in the next update please send it to us as soon as possible.

Best regards,
Aleksandar

Thank you,
We keep on waiting... :(
Would be nice if all the IDE bugs I mentioned in several topics would be solved too...
Regards,

Peter.
