18f4550 usb bootloader problem with program when uploaded

Hi
Managed to get the bootloader to run and connects to pc through usb ok.
But when the program I upload tries to run it doesn't run as expexted. I have 8 switches on port b and eight leds on port d.
If I load the program with the pickit 2 it works ok and the Leds stay off until I press a switch but if I load the program with the bootloader for some reason the leds seem to come on at switch on at random sometimes the odd one or sometime them all.
Any idea what could be causing this any help would be appreciated.

Hi,

Which bootloader did you use?

Please see the attachment, and try to load this bootloader to your PIC18f4550 MCU.
It is for 8MHz crystal oscillator.
