Power consumption

Hi all,

I am using CC430f5137 module . I would like to reduce power consumption in the module. I use two of them,one for transmitter and other as receiver, according to the application the module sleeps for a longer time than its active period. I have few ideas like:,,
Duty cycling
Lowering data rate
Setting up of PATABLE register
Half-duplex type of communication. (making one transmitter and receiver.does changing from full duplex to half duplex reduce power consumption)
reducing peripheral's power of the microcontroller
Synchronization time
the module works at 315,433,868,915 Mhz. If it operates in 315 0r 433 Mhz will it consume lesser power than 915 ?
