INT CLOCK FREQUENCY CHANGED

#1 Post by DEBABRATA GHOSH » 22 Jul 2014 11:49

Hi everybody,
I am a electronic hobbyist and doing some experiment on PIC 12F629/675. I am new to PIC.
I started with the INTERNAL CLOCK of around 4MHz, factory set, for my experiment
In my experiment Clock FREQUENCY is not very important.
My question is that if I change the frequency to 3,2 or 1 Mhz by the software ( Micro C pro / MPLab )
will that damage the controller?
With lowering the frequency circuit is working fine according to my need.

Thanks

Hi,

By changing the frequency you will not damage the MCU, maybe it wouldn't run properly until you set the proper frequency.

Filip.
