initialising srm400

#1 Post by edwardcullen » 24 Sep 2010 19:31

hello,
do i have to initialise my transducer?
i am using srm400 with microchip dspic30f4013.

one transducer is for sending pulse and one for receiving.

i am really at a loose end
any precious help will be highly appreciated.

Not according to the datasheet.

one transducer is for sending pulse and one for receiving.
You only need one transducer, the echo appears on the same line as the trigger pulse (see the circuit diagram on the datasheet).

hello,
thanks for replying.

well my supervisor wants me to use 2 srm400, so i have no choice in that matter.

when i send pulse from 1st srm400, i activate my gatedtimer1 then when 2nd srm400 receive this pulse i stop gatedtimer1.

to do this dnt i have to initialise srm400 first?
thats the place where i am confused

thanks
