ADC analog to digital converter

hai guys
i am going to make a project that converts analoge to digital first and then reverse of it.
i think to use pic for ADC but it provides o/p on 10 bits... then i think about using a parallel to serial converter.... on the reception side i will again use serial to parallel converter and then i dont know how to read this parallel but digital input and how to convert it in analoge again....
this all procedure is i think more complicated,,,
so give me some easy solution for this
remember my analoge frequencies for conversion are from 30 MHZ to 50Mhz

Hi sunny,

What is your problem?? Is it that 10 bit resolution is not good enough???

Depending on which PIC you use, there are more than enough digital pins to represent 10 bits, thats just an 8 bit port and two more bits

I think what you actually asking is how to measure a frequency and not a voltage????

If you google PIC Measure Frequency, you will find loads of info.

but i am not asking abut this.
i want to ask that how to convert 50Mhz freq into digital and on the other point this digital into analog reverse...
give me some proper and ease method.

actually i am going to make fiber optic transmitter...
tell me something about this project.
