For GM862 Developers
Hello guys, I am writing all my step that I passed through with the EASY GSM/GPRS board from Mikroelektronika. I am trying to make this as a reference to everybody to use, as it is not that easy to deal with this module. I have ordered lots of mikroelektronika boards, and most of them I will show so...

Thanks "The_RB" for your reply, When I opened the example pages, to see the soft ware UART, it gave me the following: unsigned short data = 0; unsigned short recOK; void main() { Soft_Uart_Init(PORTC, 7, 6, 19200, 0); // initialize Soft UART while (1) { do { data = Soft_Uart_Read(&recOK); // receive...

How to connect 2 usart (USB,GPS) on the same pic?
Hello you guys, I know how to connect the computer to the PIC via USB (PIC18F4550), and also I can connect both PIC and GPS (Parallax GPS - Serial). Both of them I connect to PIN 26(Rx),25(Tx). My question now, how can I connect both of them, meaning to connect the GPS to the Controller, and from th...

Hi Nikola, To tell you the truth this module is driving me like crazy... More than 6 weeks I am trying to just turn it on, and I am not able at all to turn it ON. I do make the On signal for 1 sec, and it does start flashing the STATUS_LED for 6 to 8 times, and then it turn OFF. I am connecting the ...

Piort Thanks once again! I bought the 74245, but the thing is, when I connect 5v to the input I get a 4.2v, and when I connect a 3.3v I get a 3.3v . So, 4.2 volt will not be right for the telit board as an input. I will ask my professor as he told me that there is something called dc to dc converter...

Thanks Piort, I made a search and found the IC. You're the MAN!! :D But I have a question though. Right now when I check the Datasheet that you have added in your post, it said that it gives Vcc=3.3v when there is a high voltage input it says, the following: Output Voltage 3-State: Min:0 to Max: 5.5...

Problem with the Telit EasyGSM/GPRS
Hello All, I just ordered the new Telit: EasyGSM/GPRS from mikroelekronika. But before I did any connections to it to my micro controller, I saw that the module only needed to operate at 3.4 voltage, and a 5 voltage input will be more than enough to burn it. So, I will not be able to connect it dire...
