On EasyPic5, It appears the LCD is on PortB, and the GLACD is sharing part of PortB+PortD....oh well.

Thanx for the extra info. I actually did have the lcd backlight bits turned off (i had EVERY dip switch turned off), so i now assume the GLCD is still drawing too much. I would consider adding a transistor in line with the LCD/GLCD power lines and control the transistor off your multiplexer control ...

I think the next series of boards should have an isolating DIP-switch at the programmer side, to isolate any bits that coincide with LCD/other devices conflicting with the burn signalling. Today i replaced the 40pin socket with a ZIF socket....this is MUCH easier when trialing several mpu's during development.

Can Mikro please provide an OPTION to have a ZIF socket on the board instead of regular socket????

Hi All, YESTERDAY : I dug out my EasyPIC5 board out yesterday (1st time in months) and had installed the new 2009 MikroBasic (v2.50) onto my NEW PC, re-registered, new key entered all ok. As a quick test (yesterday) i burnt the default test code (LedBlinkg.mbas) into my 16F887 Pic.....it flashed all...

No problem at all, as all ports would be on headers to 'patch' to whichever device you required.

Otherwise Port A would goto a certain device by default, and Port B, C, D etc would default to other devices too.

I think people are missing the point, i wanted the schematic sim/generation done within mikrobasic (and/or pascal and 'c' versions too).
