How do i use the Serial-Ethernet card?
Hi All, I recently purchased the addon serial Ethernet card from Mikro, ( http://www.mikroe.com/en/tools/serialeth/ ) and downloaded the 'examples' zip file too. I cannot work out what to do with the different types of .pbas files in the examples. I assume the main file is for my project pic on the ...

Thanx for the extra info. I actually did have the lcd backlight bits turned off (i had EVERY dip switch turned off), so i now assume the GLCD is still drawing too much. I would consider adding a transistor in line with the LCD/GLCD power lines and control the transistor off your multiplexer control ...

I think the next series of boards should have an isolating DIP-switch at the programmer side, to isolate any bits that coincide with LCD/other devices conflicting with the burn signalling. I'm about to fit my own switches, or even an IC (octal tri-state buffer) so that i wont have to keep removing L...

I now have a ZIF socket on EasyPic5 board....
Today i replaced the 40pin socket with a ZIF socket....this is MUCH easier when trialing several mpu's during development.
Can Mikro please provide an OPTION to have a ZIF socket on the board instead of regular socket????
Marty

I was originally using the '887 that came with the EasyPic5 board, although i later tried my own 877' to prove things. Yes, i think i was opening projects the wrong way, so the first project was always active. I was using "file open" instead of "project open" which confused things, and kept defaulti...

Cannot Burn Program more than Once into PICs ????
Hi All, I've been playing a bit with my EasyPic5 board the last few nights (getting back into it). When i burn a program into my PIC, i cannot seem to burn a 2nd (different) program into the PIC. The code compiles with no errors, and programmer settings DO NOT have any code protect/write protect opt...

Follow Up : I removed the '887 pic late last night, and fitted a '877 which programmed ok (no errors). When i put the '887 back into the board, it also programmed successfully. I haven't seen the error return, so i *think* it may have been poor contact on the 40pin IC socket. Today i will replace t...

My EP5 wont program anymore - it did yesterday !!!!!
Hi All, YESTERDAY : I dug out my EasyPIC5 board out yesterday (1st time in months) and had installed the new 2009 MikroBasic (v2.50) onto my NEW PC, re-registered, new key entered all ok. As a quick test (yesterday) i burnt the default test code (LedBlinkg.mbas) into my 16F887 Pic.....it flashed all...

Thanx Dusan, I was hoping there would be an mcu plugin card to support the 8/14/18/28 pin DIL-package pics (on the same card as the 40pin). I didn't think the 8/14/18/28 pics would plug into the 40pin socket with ports on all different pins etc. It seems at the moment there is ONLY a 40pin card (or ...

Sorry, i re-read my original question, it didn't come out the way i intended. I meant to say it would be a 200nS HI pulse followed by a 200nS OFF time, and OVERALL the duration would be 400nS....i see where i confused you My main concern (initially) was the accuracy of the on/off switching, and whet...
