Re: Can program but can't debug

I have found that under windows 10 unless you install all the software (compiler, programmer software, etc) as an administrator or 'run as administrator' when installing the software it won't work. Hi There, I was passed a solution to this by Mikroe as my work computer insists that I grant admin pe...

Re: pld files

Seems like I have answered my own question here. The question came about as I have several modules that had "#'ifdefine hidef" pre-processor statements and all have to have a common " #define hidef" in the modules. It is also easy to control declaration of variables and constants this way dependent ...

pld files

Hi, I have been puzzling over how to format a pld file. From other posts I have read it appears that comments are not supported although that is not documented in the help files. If I write it as a module then add to the project in project manager it seems to work but if I comment an entry it is sti...

Hello, This is not approriate for the compier wish lists so I have put it here as there is no forum wish list! I am sure that many devlopers find the newer forum format useful, but would it be possible to select and keep searches for a specific compiler, maybe as personal preferences? I only use Mik...

Re: Startup problems in windows 10

Hi Filip, I have notified our developers, I'm sure they will handle this issue. (Dec 09 2020) FYI: I just had to re-install MB 7.60 and the problem still exists with install file downloaded today (Aug 9 2021) at 14.15 (BST). The manifest still reads: <requestedExecutionLevel level="requireAdministra...

Re: Mikroprog and i.hex file

Thanks Filip,
If I disconnect the Vcc line from the programmer header and provide a separate 5v supply would that be a solution?
All I have currently is a ZIF socket on a board, a 100n on the vcc & 0v pins and a header for the programmer.
Thanks again.

Re: Mikroprog and i.hex file

Hi Filip. It seems that if I want to add the eeprom file and the program file I have to first select the CODE file, then deselect the Load/ save CODE and select only the DATA radio button. Then I can load the EEPROM file. I thought that it used to load both files together unless one or the other was...

Mikroprog and i.hex file

Hello, I have a programmed PIC18F24K22 that has some data in the EEprom. I need to copy the Code to several devices but use a different EEprom code as default since the data is overwritten when the PIC runs. I can copy and save the code but there seems to be no option to save and load the EEprom dat...

Re: Startup problems in windows 10

Hi Filip, Many thanks. It worked just as you suggested. I have spent hours trying to get it to run without asking for an admin password every time. One question if I may. Why is isthe manifest written this way if the user (without admin privelidges) is going to tbe the main user anyway, such as in a...

Startup problems in windows 10

Hi, I have used Mikrobasic since 2005 and never had this issue with windows XP or 7 Under Win 10 I get a UAC request for an admin password every start up of MB7. As it is a work machine the system goes to sleep after an interval of no activity and always asks for an admin password (not user) to star...

Re: EEPROM_Write problem

Hi, This is not trested on your Chip but seems fine on 18F45K22 'EEprom read / write uses I2C like sequence for on chip EEprom. Beware that endurance has limits so do not write more time than necessary, Datasheet gives write endurance such as 100K writes etc. External eeproms may have better enduran...
