Thanks for the help, I finally got it going
As a matter of interest though, the SPI hasn't changed from dspic30xx it's always been SDO1 on RF8 & SDI1 on RF7
So I don't know how the dsPic connector ever worked, RF7 & RF8 are on different Connectors (on all the ME boards?)

Any attempt to scroll in the IDE editor by clicking and moving the horizontal or Vertical scroll bars causes uncontrolled X and Y scrolling and the code is automatically selected. This doesn't appear to have been reported before so maybe it just my computer or have I set something wrong. It doesn't ...

after that any attempt to post to this forum returns same error till I log out and re-log in. But I see the message is posted so I'm not sure if you recieved the reply or not
