Thanks Peter.
Can I route this topic to "mikroC PRO for PIC General" from here?

I am sorry. Actually I cannot figure-out how it turned to be in this forum. In my understanding I posted in "mikroC PRO for PIC General".

Please can you tell me which compiler you use?

With SPI library send data in 8-bit segments.

Just to say that Proteus simulator is not fully compatible with our compilers.

Best regards,
Peter

I am using MikroC PRO for PIC v6.5.0

SPI 24-bit addressing

I am communicating with an SPI Audio record IC which has 24-bit address and 16-bit offset. I made a structure to read/write data from that device which has, Command - 1 byte Address - 3 byte (24-bit) Offset address - 2 byte (16-bit) During simulation (in proteous), it is found that 4th byte (MSB of ...

Re: CAN issue between PIC18F2585 and PIC18F6585

yes, I had problems with PIC18F6585 CAN section. But that has been solved after reading data sheet errata. That was because of PHSEG1 and PHSEG2 interchanged in that particular revision of that PIC. My concern is about CANculator, I am giving below the last post I had posted in CANculator section. M...

Re: UART Write and Read at a time

Thanks.
I simulated it with UART interrupt and it works as expected.

Thanks again

UART Write and Read at a time

Hello,

Can somebody help me to know whether it is possible to write and read UART data at a time.
My intention is to assure I am receiving the exact data I sent, this for for some kind of Collision detection.
Please advise

Thanks

Re: CAN issue between PIC18F2585 and PIC18F6585

Hi, I wa using CANculator tool to initialise CAN module. But it seems some discrepancy in that tool, when we manually calculate data sheet values. I already posted it in CANCulator section, but not a sufficient reply received yet. Below is the link. http://www.mikroe.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=49...

Re: Two RS-485

My mistake, what I meant was PIC18F25K22 with dual UARTs. Thanks for pointing it.

But if I could find something with dual UART with less than 28-pin would be fine, may be 18-pin, because of the space limits.

Thanks for the info.

Re: CAN Calculator Tool Released on Libstock!

My concern is the bit rate calculation. As per what I understood, there is a mismatch in CANculator parameters when comparing Data sheet calculation. That is why I attached the data sheet page in my previous post. I can hardly measure the bit timing with my old CRO. Below is the CANculator parameter...

Re: Two RS-485

Thanks for the info.
But I dont think I can use soft_UART, which implements time based activities.
I will use PIC with dual UART.
Can you suggest very low pin-count PIC with dual UARTs? I found it starts with 28-pin (PIC18F25K20).

Thanks again.

I am attaching the project settings herewith.
But my question is, whether the Microchip data sheet CAN baud calculation is same with CANculator?
Please find attached the datasheet page also.

Re: CAN Calculator Tool Released on Libstock!

Hello, I am not getting proper bitrate with this application. In the attached snapshot, I used PIC with 20MHz for 50kbps baudrate. But when I calculate with data sheet formula, I get only 45,454bps..! I had problem communicating with another CAN controller, then only I noticed it. CANculator.jpg Tha...
