Re: PIC18 Flash Memory lifetime cycles

Have you tried looking at the device datasheet as that is where you usually find this kind of information?

But the Mikroe compilers have the powerful advantage that you can handle so many processor types with the same code.....
All third party developments systems do this, even more so.

Re: STM32CUBE integrated in the workflow ?

The Atollic IDE and compiler is completely free. The PRO version (which includes far more features than you will ever find or need) is what you pay for. Same with Segger, Keil, etc.

Why not just use Atollic TrueStudio since it is FREE.

Re: Ultra Fast GPIO Access on STM32F0

Look into MCUs that utilize the Cortex M0+ core: 2.2.2. Single-cycle I/O port The processor optionally implements a single-cycle I/O por t that provides very high speed access to tightly-coupled peripherals, such as general-purpose-I/O (GPIO). The port is accessible both by loads and stores, from th...

Re: C/C++ Library to FRDM-K64F

mikroC for ARM only supports a small subset of currently manufactured devices. Unfortunately for you, it does not support devices made by FreeScale (now owned by NXP).

They are available, as long as you are not using an oddball IDE/Compiler.

And for PIC10/12/16/18/24F/dsPIC/AVR/STM8 users there is OSA cooperative multitasking real-time operating system.

Re: RTOS for PIC32 in mP

No comments? I was under the impression that an RTOS was needed badly ... Of course it is not written in mC, but translation should be not so difficult. In my personal opinion: an actual pre-emptive RTOS (with respect to a cooperative CRTOS) is a bit/lot overrated . Simple. You are not addressing t...

Re: Compiler / Linker Documentation?

Absolute best value (USD150 for a personal license) in my opinion is Rowley Crossworks. They provide BSPs for most ARM MCU manufacturers. You can download the manual (1,352 pages, fully indexed, complete API reference) here. Check it out for yourself. CrossWorks for ARM is a complete C/C++ and assem...

Re: Compiler / Linker Documentation?

rmteo (Remote En Output, IEE488?), So do you still do use mE's mikroC software product? The ARM folks who license the core, do they also produce a physical silicon product? Or am I confused about things? rmteo is my initials. No longer using mE products. For commercial product development, they do ...
