Re: EasyPIC6 and 18F45K22?
If you are using EasyPIC6, you can always refer to the EasyPIC6 examples (http://www.mikroe.com/easypic/v6/) Also, you may notice that 18F45K22 is not on the list of the supported MCUs by the EasyPIC6, this is why you get the error "MCU not supported". There are many examples for addition board wri...

Re: Ready Big Pic for 18F8520?
Ok. Thanks for the reply Filip. I've moved my project from the 18F4550 to the 18F8520. I was surprised that you do not do something in the 80pin form factor

Ready Big Pic for 18F8520?
Do mE make a ReadyBIG PIC for 80 pin devices like the 18F8520?
Thanks
Paul
Thanks

Re: IrDA library and example question
I have looked at ver 2.0 board demo code. It looks like it is for the non Pro compiler as the projects end in .ppc.

Re: EasyPIC6 and 18F45K22?
I understand the decision to move to the 18F45k22 filip. I also understand that you can not write code for every chip but I would have thought that part of the decision to move to the 18F45K22 would have been to provide demo code written for both the 18F45k22 and the 16F887. It feels like you no lon...

EasyPIC6 and 18F45K22?
As mE have changed writing demo code from the 16F887 to the 18F45K22 I bought a PIC Ready Board took the 18F45K22 out and plugged it into my easyPIC6 and tried to program it. The chip was running mE demo code and gave me an LED display. When I tried to program it with some mE demo code it said "mcu ...

Re: IOC demo code for 18F45K22 converted to 18F4550
That was what I concluded. However, I thought my conclusion was wrong!
Thanks Janni for putting my mind at rest. I will try and put it all together in some code now.
I keep telling myself "small steps" . . . .

IOC demo code for 18F45K22 converted to 18F4550
I am trying to investigate IOC for the 18F4550. I have read through the datasheet (many times) and I think I understand the different modes of priority. Namely using "high/low" priority or "compatibility mode" According to the datasheet I have 4 lines available (RB4:RB7) which are called KBI0:KBI3. ...

Re: RB4/RB7 Strange Interruption with PIC16F
BTW, without hardware debouncing (like RC filters), IOC is generally not best suited for reading mechanical switches/keyboards (except for waking the processor up from sleep). It's easier and more effective to debounce the switches in software using timer interrupts, i.e. timed reads of a port(s). ...

Re: Rotary Encoder in mC
I connected Rotary Encoder(C) to 5v, Encoder(A) to RA0 on the port of EasyPic6 and Encoder(B) RA1 on the port of EasyPic6. I then just set the RA0&1 pull down port resistors to pull down to 0v. Each time I turn the encoder I get a pulse from the LED connected to each pin in turn (cw or ccw). If I ju...

IrDA library and example question
I have purchased some IrDA add-on boards from my UK distributer for a great price. They are h/w version 1.01 which is even before the version IrDA 1.1 shown on the mE site. Version 1.1 of this board shown on the site does not have example code. It just says "Coming soon" on the download link. Versio...
