Re: mikro c and mikrobasic
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BASIC http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/C_(programming_language) C is suppose to generate smaller code and faster. But opinions may differ on that comment Also C is considered "The Industry Standard" I'm also interested in the above question. Are there any other differences, ...

Re: PWM for 16f877
I'm also learning :D You will have to read the manual of your chosen compiler/ide to become comfortable with it, the sooner you do this the better for you. And then, you have to read the datasheet for your chosen PIC, which I assume is the 877. Again have fun and post any questions you have yes i do...

Re: Using MikroBasic with PicKit3
Without seeing your code and schematic's no one here, has any idea whats wrong either I generate the hex file, then start MPLab, open a project, and import the hex file. I program the chip, but it does not do anything. I started with a simple LED blink program. The status LEDs do exactly what they d...

Re: PIC simulator
I don't own Proteus, but it "should" be like most all sims, it should use your hex file, and care less to what IDE/compiler generated it, Good Luck and have fun I wouldn't even conceive of illegally downloading software. Thanks for the information everyone. I will look into that software. Proteus wo...

Re: PIC simulator
The folks that write and maintain Proteus need to provide for there families and pay the bills, they cannot do this if people use cracked software. . The best compiler is Labscenter Proteus. It can be downloaded with crack from the following link. [Link removed by admin] ************************

Re: Libraries
Yes sir you do, I also own Proton Compiler, and keep an eye on that forum, we have chatted via PM there. As far as MikroE's AVR compiler/dev boards there is not allot of difference. MikroE uses the same style on the boards and Compilers, Thats one thing I like about MikroE, once you learn one, switc...

Re: PIC simulator
I have to agree with p.erasmus, the oshonsoft software is nice and does not take a great deal of money, but if you have allot of money that needs spending then look at Proteus. Personally I enjoy the oshonsoft software The best simulator to use is the one included in the compiler secondly it depends...

Re: Libraries
Doug Just so you know, I ordered a AVR board directly from MikroE a couple months ago and it took 4 days to get to my door step in Virginia. Not bad for a trip from the eastern EU . I ordered the dsPic basic compiler kit with the easypic6. I hope it doesn't take a month to get here like my last two ...
