Water Flow Sensor YF (YF-B6) is designed for applications where accurate detection of inlet water flow is required, particularly in fully automatic gas water heaters. Its structure consists of a metal valve body, a water flow rotor assembly, and an integrated Hall sensor. When water enters through the inlet, it passes through the rotor assembly, causing the magnetic rotor to spin at a rate directly proportional to the flow speed. The Hall sensor then generates corresponding NPN pulse signals, which are transmitted to the controller. Based on these signals, the controller determines the flow rate and makes the necessary adjustments for efficient operation.
The sensor is engineered to operate under a wide range of conditions, with an allowable operating temperature of up to 80°C, a humidity tolerance of 35%–90% RH (non-condensing), and maximum water pressure support of 1.75MPa, ensuring durability and stability in demanding environments. For proper use, the sensor requires a power supply of 3.5-24V, and when connected to PLC systems or circuits involving pumps and motors, adequate anti-interference and surge isolation measures must be implemented to maintain signal accuracy. To protect the internal components from damage and ensure reliable measurements, a filter screen or suitable filtration device should be installed at the inlet to prevent particles and debris from entering.
