This week’s click theme is colors. Today, we’re adding the blue LED version of the previously presented Rotary click.

Rotary B click released

You already seen the green LED version. Rotary B click (B for Blue) carries a 15-step rotary encoder surrounded by a ring of 16 LEDs. The knob is also a pushbutton that sends an interrupt to the target board MCU.

Here’s how it works:

It may seem like a trivial thing but you can’t undermine the importance of letting designers choose their preferred LED color. After one goes through all the trouble of solving the tough engineering challenges, these small decisions taste like desert, a sweet dilemma. This color or that? Like a Jedi choosing a lightsaber color.

The Libstock example is the same as the one for the previous Rotary click. All other details are on the product page. A third color option is in the making.

Yours sincerely,
MikroElektronika
