As a prelude to our upcoming live presentation about how click boards are IoT enablers, here's an interesting Kickstarter project that proves the point.
Let us draw your attention to MoXi: It's is a smart home system based on accurate indoor positioning that—and here's the catch—doesn't require any wearable device, yet can detect people's position in a house within 30cm.
More than positioning, MoXi also implements a network that can be used to enhance the system with various sensors and actuators to make your house adapt to the needs and habits of its inhabitants.
One of the reasons you're reading about it here on our page is, of course, that it involves some click boards and mikroBUS™ sockets: a MoXi NODE with a mikroBUS™ connector lets you connect click boards to the system.
According to Francesco from Xetal, the start-up behind MoXi, the reason they opted for mikroBUS™ and the click board ecosystem is because "it's easy and it has a large, and still growing number of clicks and clickers. And they are much smaller than things like Arduino shields."
