The IN-BOX Plastic enclosure series from OKW Gehäusesysteme represents a versatile line of plastic enclosures designed to meet the needs of industrial electronics and electrical installations. Engineered for durability and flexibility, these enclosures are ideal for protecting sensitive equipment in harsh environments, offering a reliable housing solution for terminal connections, instrumentation, and control systems. Crafted from high-quality ABS and polycarbonate (PC) materials, the IN-BOX enclosures feature a high-gloss finish and are available in multiple heights to suit a wide range of applications. Despite being classified as V-2 according to UL 94, the enclosure design meets the more stringent UL 94 5V fire safety requirements, ensuring enhanced protection against ignition and flame propagation. The series also meets IP66 and IP67 protection ratings thanks to a pre-foamed sealing gasket integrated into the lid, providing excellent resistance to dust and water ingress.

Made for durability, the enclosures offer high impact resistance (IK07) making them suitable for industrial environments where mechanical stresses are common. For added functionality and design flexibility, models with transparent lids are available, allowing visibility of internal displays or indicators without opening the housing. A recessed top surface protects membrane keypads, graphic overlays, or identification labels from wear or accidental damage.

Each IN-BOX enclosure comes equipped with stainless steel quarter-turn screws for secure and tool-free access. Installation options are flexible, with direct wall mounting possible or external mounting via optional wall brackets. Internal hinge kits can also be supplied as accessories for more frequent access needs. For secure sealing, a dedicated security kit enables the use of lead tags, ensuring tamper-proof installation in sensitive environments. Inside, the enclosures are optimized for efficient hardware integration. Multiple screw pillars support the installation of DIN rails, PCBs, or mounting plates, facilitating customized internal layouts tailored to specific project requirements.
