The software roadmap has been updated with new info for our most popular compilers.
The upcoming version of PIC compilers will add support for 38 new MCUs. We don’t have an ETA yet, but we just published an early version of the feature list so you can know what to expect. Read it here.
One notable improvement is the planned implementation of timeouts for all I2C libraries. Notable because this was the most wanted feature according to the results of the pool posted on our forums. We plan to add it to all compilers eventually.
Keep visiting the roadmap page because we will update it with more information as we go. The project is still in its earliest phase.
Closer to the present, we are still on track for the release of dsPIC compilers. Today, we added a new entry to the project log, listing some additional fixes and improvements we implemented since our last update.
