This right-angle power jack (spatial orientation of 90°) is designed to provide high reliability in power delivery applications, withstanding current and voltage ratings up to 5A and 24VDC (500VAC at 50/60Hz for 1 minute). There are different types of DC power connectors, e.g., with 2 or 3 conductors, where a third conductor forms a switch with the outer sleeve conductor, used to detect or indicate plug insertion or to select between power sources based on when the plug is or is not inserted.
