Some mikroBUS™ add-on boards are noble by birth — they get to be called click™ boards right away. Others have to distinguish themselves among peers to earn that title. Is your design worthy of becoming a click™?

We’re pleased to announce that we will be teaming with Upverter, the browser-based hardware design platform, to bring you a mikroBUS™ add-on board design competition.
Anyone can participate, but only one design can become a click™ board — as in, we will manufacture it and it will be included in the click™ line-up, available from our global distributors, presented on international trade shows and fairs.
Winner, runner-up and third place can also expect some valuable prizes.
That’s everything we can tell you for now. All the details will be available on Friday July 10 when the competition officially starts.
In the meantime, here’s what you can do to get a headstart. First, become familiar with Upverter. Register an account and start tinkering with the tool. If you ever designed hardware, you’ll get the hang of it in no time.
Second, study the mikroBUS™ specifications document, especially the second part about add-on boards. Get to know the form factor inside out, to get a sense of what’s the challenge about.
Third, get creative. There already is more than 130 click boards with all sorts of sensors, transceivers, displays, encoders, connection ports. What will you come up with that’s new and different? Start brainstorming right now.
See you on Friday!
Yours sincerely,
MikroElektronika
