We kept the spotlight on compilers and development boards when first announcing the FT90x solution. In the background we also updated Timer Calculator, the Package Manager and Visual TFT to fully welcome FT90x into our ecosystem. Now is a good time to go over them.

Timer Calculator is the free tool that generates code for timer interrupts for mikroC, mikroBasic and mikroPascal. It’s the most popular item on Libstock, having been downloaded over 30,000 times. Version 3.0.0 adds support for FT90x but also fixes some issues with PIC32 from the previous release.
If you aren’t familiar with how Timer Calculator works, John B recently demonstrated it in the following video (note, his video is for EasyPIC Fusion, not EasyFT90x).
VisualTFT now also has built-in support for FT90x. The new version (3.9.0) also adds support for FT801, the new graphics controller from FTDI Chip.
By the way, back when VisualTFT was first released, it was the first software tool that supported FTDI Chip’s Embedded Video Engine (EVE) — much like mikroC, mikroBasic and mikroPascal for FT90x are the first dedicated FT90x compilers on the market.
Finally, Package Manager is updated to support FT90x. It’s a tool for easily integrating your libraries into all MikroElektronika compilers. Like the Timer Calculator, it’s also free.
Yours sincerely,
MikroElektronika
