Our largest mikromedia to date has almost five times more screen space than a classic mikromedia board. And with the increased real estate on the back, we packed more multimedia modules than ever.
mikromedia 7 for STM32F4 is powered by the proven STM32F407ZG with 168 MHz operation (210 DMIPS), 1 MB of Flash and 192 + 4 KB of SRAM. It’s the same chip used on mikromedia plus for STM32, so if you already have experience with that one — going up a size will be as easy as stretching a piece of dough.
If you don’t require pocket portability the increased size is all pros no cons. You can take advantage of the 800x480 px TFT touchscreen to design beautiful uncluttered graphical user interfaces. Also, if you flip the board you’ll see that this mikromedia is a more versatile multimedia development board compared to its smaller siblings.
The modules you’re used to seeing on mikromedia boards are all there — accelerometer, microSD card slot for external storage, a MP3 Stereo Codec chip, ethernet connector.
mikromedia 7 for STM32F4 also has a mikroProg onboard, meaning you’ll only require a USB cable to program and debug the board. A WiFi module with its own STM32 and an ceramic antenna means instant connectivity.
