It's time for another story from our Developer's Crush series. This time we are bringing you a successful YouTuber who made over 100 videos that feature our products.
A passion for teaching about embedded development
Sameer has been making educational videos sine 2014. All of the videos are in Arabic, so we hope that some of our readers speak it, or understand it. Even if you don't, you can still follow the videos, download the code examples and post your comments.
We understand his passion for teaching others. After all, that is how this company was founded - with a desire to provide others with the knowledge and tools to make great things themselves.
You can see his full playlist here.
Sameer, who lives in Saudi Arabia, says that he was interested in electronics from an early age:
"I was interested in electronics since high school. Then after high school, I was doing simple electronic circuits, and that got me interested in programming. So, since I liked electronics and programming I found embedded systems to be a field that combines both those things."
We asked him how he came across MikroElektronika products:
"One day, maybe 6 years ago, when I was browsing the web on the topic of embedded programming, I found a course for pic microcontroller programming using mikroC.
I started the course and completed it in a short time. I really enjoyed it because I was using electronics and programming to build projects myself. Then, I started to get into more serious projects and I decided to use MikroElektronika Click boards, since they were easy to connect and easy to embedded into projects; and had really helpful libraries, which means I don't have to spend a lot of time and energy to write the libraries myself. The Click board libraries gave me time to build any project I wanted.
Then I started to teach my friends in college. I was studying electronics engineering and many of my friends got interested in Mikroe products as well. Many planned to use mikroC and other products to build their school projects."
This was the start of his YouTube career. Enough people were ready to learn and start a project on their own. So, a video series seemed like the natural next step:
"One of my friends told me: why don't you teach people on the internet. So, I started uploading tutorials on YouTube back in 2014. Many of my colleagues and many people around the world were benefiting from my Channel, and it helped many engineers to learn how to use mikroC to build their school projects."
You can watch Sameer's videos and learn how to make successful projects with the help of mikroC PRO for PIC, Click boards, EasyPIC v 7 development boards and more.
