The best thing that happened to BeagleBone since... ever!
Click boards are a huge success. With over 70 click boards currently available, 20 more in the making, we've covered every major aspect of your development. More and more open-source communities are adopting mikroBUS standard as the best solution for adding new features to their design. Today we are happy to bring click boards to a wildly popular and fast growing community of BeagleBone. For those who are still not familiar with it, BeagleBone and is a credit-card-sized Linux computer that connects to the Internet and runs software such as Android 4.0 and Ubuntu. It's equipped with plenty of I/O and processing power for real-time analysis provided by TI OMAP application processors. BeagleBone can be complemented with cape plug-in boards to augment functionality.
Our distributor Tigal developed a unique cape featuring 4 mikroBUS sockets. It has a DIP switch used to select up to four addresses and allow simultaneous use of other Capes. The BeagleBone mikroBUS Cape works only with Click boards that require 3.3V power, but that's over 70% of all Clicks, so don't worry. For complete specification, pinout and examples, please visit mikroBUS cape Wiki Page. Cape costs $18.00 and can be purchsed at Tigal's online store.
Great work guys! Thumbs up for the Tigal team!
Yours sincerely,
MikroElektronika
