What is Package Manager?

The Package Manager is a free software which enables you to integrate your libraries into all MikroElektronika Compilers for PIC, dsPIC, PIC24, PIC32 and AVR. Package Manager can also make a redistributable archive with the goal to be installed on other computers. Along with libraries, packages can contain other valuable information such as: Definition Files, Help Files and Examples. Using this tool you can start distributing your own libraries much faster and easier.

Why do I need this software?

  • Distribute your projects in compact form

    You will be able to make a compact form of your entire project files and dependencies. Very handy for distributing your projects along with examples, MCL libraries and help files.

  • One click package extraction

    Your packages will be installed with a single click. Library and examples folders will be created and definition files updated automatically.

How it works?

1. Load package

Just Open the desired package file (*.mpkg) or create a new package and it’s content will be displayed in Navigation and Information sections.

2. Install Package

Click on File->Install option and the installation will begin. Installer will copy your package content into destination folders and update your definition files.

3. Use package

New installed libraries will appear in Library Manager of your compiler, but only for those chips that are compatible with installed library.

How Much Does
this software cost?

Package Manager is free software and you can use it free of charge. It is designed to be an additional tool that will help you with your work.

Can I make 1 package
for 3 compilers?

The answer is: no. Package manager can currently create only package for one compiler at a time. Just make a new package for each compiler.
