Overview
RTC board enables you to use a real-time-clock PCF8583 in your applications.
The board is provided with many ready-to-use examples that make it easy for you to use it.
IDC10 connector enables easy connection with peripheral devices.
Description
The RTC board features an IC chip RTC that keeps track of the current time even when the microcontroller is turned off. The real-time clock is driven by a special battery that is not connected to the normal power supply. The board serves as an extension of development boards which need real time data for their operation. It can be easily connected to a connector on the right side of a development board, but can also be used as a part of some other devices if required. It comes with the relevant schematic and many ready-to-use examples.
Examples
Examples provided with this board will show you how to connect the PCF8583 module to a microcontroller easily. Each example contains a detailed description of the relevant program including comments. All examples can be downloaded from this page as well.
