RTC3 click keeps track of time with a BQ32000 chip from Texas Instruments. The one we had in our office indicated it was party time. Read to see why.
Our third click board with a real time clock/calendar chip has an integrated trickle charger that maintains a backup charge through a super capacitor. It communicates with the target board through mikroBUS™ I2C lines (SCL, SDA), and through the INT pin which serves as a configurable interrupt output.
Like other real time clocks, this one counts seconds, minutes, hours, date of the month, month, day of the year with leap-year clock function and all that.
But what's more, when we hooked up the hardware and loaded the Libstock example, RTC3 click revealed two more things: 1) Time flies fast and 2) It’s time to party.
See, it was roughly three and a half years ago when we launched Libstock. And with the example for RTC3 click, our coder’s community now has 1000 submissions. More on that tomorrow.
Yours sincerely,
