The mikromedia line-up just got its 15th member: our first mikromedia board for the PSoC® family of microcontrollers from Cypress is out. It's all about the powerful CY8C5868AXI-LP035 microcontroller with the ARM Cortex-M3 core, operating at 67 MHz with 256 KB of Flash memory and 64kb of RAM. There's also a new mikroProg to complete your toolchain.
With its small size, a 320x240px touch screen, mp3 codec, accelerometer, microSD card slot, mikromedia for PSoC® 5LP shares all the rich multimedia capabilities of other mikromedias. What's new is the 2 Mbit FRAM (FM25H20) memory chip, which can expand the microcontroller's data memory. Additionally, it also features a HID USB bootloader.
It can be used either as a development board or as a final product. Head over to Libstock and see our examples written for PSoC® Creator™, the windows-based IDE which allows concurrent hardware and application firmware design.
Also new in our store, mikroProg for PSoC® 5LP is a fast programmer and hardware debugger in our trademark slim elegant, matte white housing. An indispensable tool for programming the Cypress PSoC® 5LP microcontroller family, this mikroProg also works with the Cypress PSoC® Creator.
mikromedia and mikroProg form a perfect toolchain for your next PSoC® 5LP based design, so make sure to review specs and details for both of them.
Yours sincerely,
MikroElektronika
