click board tutorials for Freescale Freedom board users.
MCU on Eclipse is a popular blog written by Erich Styger – a Software Manager at Freescale who also teaches Embedded Systems Programming at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. It’s mainly focused on the Freedom board and, as the name implies, the Eclipse IDE.
A few days ago Erich published a tutorial for using SHT1x click with a FRDM-K64F board.
As we always recommend to prospective users from alternative development environments, Erich used our Libstock example as a starting point for writing Freedom-compatible drivers for the SHT1x click.
He also made the source available on github, but it's also embedded on the blog.
If your eyes start hurting from staring at the code for too long, be sure to visit the pictures section of his blog, and relax while browsing through a selection of beautiful Swiss mountain landscapes.
click boards are too useful to be kept strictly contained within our own development ecosystem. That’s why we sell various shields that bring click board compatibility to platforms like Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Beaglebone… and as of recently, Freescale’s Freedom board.
This is the first of, what we hope, will be a multitude of click board tutorials for Freedom and Eclipse users, so keep visiting MCU on Eclipse if Freedom is your dev. board of choice.
Yours sincerely,
