After a few months of designing and prototyping, it was nice to be able to finally push the MCU card into the socket and flip the power switch on our newest development board - EasyMX PRO™ for Tiva™ C Series.
EasyMX PRO™ for Tiva™ C Series has all the features you've come to expect from a seventh generation Easy board: it's a high-quality 4-layer PCB development board with a wealth of modules and peripherals, multiple power supply options and the convenience of an on-board programmer.
The on-board mikroProg programmer and debugger for ARM supports 55 Tiva™ C Series MCUs (there's also an alternative Cortex Debugger). The default MCU card you get with the board is the TM4C129XNCZAD. We also offer two additional populated MCU cards, carrying the TM4C123GH6PZ and the TM4C123GH6PM. Three unpopulated cards you can use to solder any other supported TIVA C Series MCU you might require are also available.
With ten on-board ports, the keyword to describe the board is connectivity. The edge of the board is lined with two USB-UART ports, plus a USB Host and a USB Device port. CAN and Ethernet communications are also supported. Of course, there are two mikroBUS™ sockets to further exploit your Tiva C Series MCU with a range of 78 click boards.
Powerful Cortex-M4 MCUs are great for multimedia applications. This board's multimedia peripherals include the VS1053 audio codec with two stereo audio connectors. A 320x240 Easy TFT screen sits in a socket that also supports 128x64 GLCDs. A microSD socket adds external storage capabilities.
That's a lot of components for a 266 x 220mm (10.47 X 8.66 inches) PCB. But once you start using it, you'll be suprised how easy it is since components, down to each pin, jumper, knob, switch and button are clearly labeled with silk screen markings. Furthermore, the box it comes in contains a full-color two-page schematic and a detailed manual explaining each component of the board. You can view them right away on the EasyMX PRO™ for Tiva™ C Series page.
The Tiva platform was first introduced by Texas Instruments in 2013. Tiva C Series TM4C123x ARM Cortex-M4 MCUs are the first Cortex-M-based MCUs to be built on 65 nanometer flash process technology. Shortly after TI introduced Tiva, we released mikromedia 5 for Tiva. Last week we released the smaller, compact mikromedia board for Tiva C Series. Now we completed the Toolchain.
mikroC, mikroBasic and mikroPascal examples are posted. Go ahead and explore EasyMX PRO™ for Tiva C Series for yourself.
