Controlling the volume or lighting in your room is easy with a potentiometer, but traditional ones have a problem when it comes to interfacing with a microcontroller. That’s why modern designs tend to incorporate digital potentiometers, like our newest product – DIGI POT 5 click.
DIGI POT 5 click
DIGI POT 5 click is a digitally controlled quad potentiometer, with the resistance of 10KΩ. It has an 8bit wiper step resolution, which allows the wiper to take 257 different discrete positions (across 256 internal resistors). Interfacing is no longer a problem - the digital wiper position can be controlled via the SPI interface.
Also, traditional potentiometers are more prone to get damaged due to oxidation and friction. DIGI POT 5 click is resilient against
Additionally, you don’t have to worry about losing the prior information after powering down. This click has a durable EEPROM non-volatile (NV) memory for storing the wiper position.
