Hallo everyone,

I bought some years ago an easyPIC V7, it has a PIC18F45K22.
It is the first time I use it, finally after a long time I am triyng it :)

Now I have a problem, the board is powered and hardware linked to the PC.
In a first time the link led was off and the mikroPROG suite didn't see the connected tool.
So I searched a solution on the web, I found the driver missing and I uploaded it.
I have on a PC windows 7 and I uploaded this driver:
USB18PRG-Vista-x64.EXE

I attache the zip file of the driver f some one wants to verify.

Now the link led on the board is on but when I go to write the .hex file the mikroPROG suite persist to give me an error:

Development tool not detected.
Make sure that you conncted your development tool

My development tool tell me it is connected and it is true...who is wrong is the mikroPROG suite...
How can I convince mikroPPROG suite?
Can you help me?

Hi,

Can you please attach a screenshot of the Device Manager, mikroProg Suite for PIC, USB -> Show devices window in mikroProg Suite and the photo of your board while it is connected via USB to PC ?

Regards,
Filip.

When starting the MikroProg Suite, you must launch it "as administrator"
The same goes for MikroC Pro, it must be launched as administrator to give it the ability to connect to the mikroprog over USB.

Try to right-click on the MikroProg Suite shortcut, and click on "Run as Administrator". After loading, check to see if the MikroProg Suite can detect the MikroProg.
I've had this exact problem in the past.

Hi,

@Cobalt,
Thank you for the assistance, this could be one of the reasons why it won't work.

Regards,
Filip.
