Timings go wrong and have to restart project

Hi i am using version 7.6. Basically what happens after maybe a day my code is just executed very slow. For example i have a 1 second tick which now takes 45 mins. To solve i have to create a new project using the exact same settings and import the same source code and all is well.
Has anyone experienced this? It makes it pretty unusable.
