hello,

i included in Tools my own SPLITLOG.exe program
to split the "messages" result of compiling into mre readable lines
and separate library links

it works fine, but , i can"t see the icone in the tools bar
Maybe because it is a DOS program
but this icone appear in Options Tools !
How to see it in the Toolbar instead of blank square ?

You are referring to a .bat file not an .exe file so it's quite possible that the compiler cannot identify an icon, an exe file would have an attached icon of course.

Yes, as pwdixon mentioned you specified a .bat file instead .exe file.

Try to specify .exe file.


Additionally, if you need to use batch files, you can try to convert bat file to exe file with a special program for this purpose (search on Internet "BAT to EXE", "BAT2EXE", "Advanced BAT to EXE",...).

Same behavior with programme Splitlog.exe
or with Splitlog.pif assocaited to an icone
I see the icone in Options-Tools
i see the icone in file manager
Not inside the Tools bar
it's run OK, when i click on the empty icone of toolbar
I can see the name of file (SPLILOG) when mouse pass over the blank icone..

Please, Find enclosed in zip, C source and exe.

SPLITLOG.EXE is DOS EXE file, there is no icons inside DOS EXE files.

in post#2 .. we can see a DOS icon
in post #4 an Icon i add and attach to a *SPLITLOG.PIF
and i can see it also in file manager...

but it is not really a big problem, i will survive without icone..
just waiting some upgrade of MikroC
