Equating Substrings

Would like to be able to equate substrings like DEC pascal allows... makes for less code.
Var txt : array[20] of Char;
.
.
.
txt[6:10] := 'ABCDE';
Var txt : array[20] of Char;
.
.
.
txt[6:10] := 'ABCDE';
