Ti Arm CC3200 support maybe MMB or something. and CC2538 Arm

#1 Post by gomond » 06 Jul 2015 06:02

It would be great to see the CC3200 Arm supported as a small MMB that could be used as a touch wall switch like the 4Dsystems attempt.
The trouble with the 4Discovery is no Zigbee support.
If you built an MMB with CC3200 and CC2538 and may be bluetooth 4, and had them supported by the Mikroc compiler, then you would have the most massively awesome IOT.....home automation solution ever and people would be purchasing them in lots of 10 or so to replace wall switches.
With click relays on the back.
 :D :)

Thanks Biljana
What makes it so great is that you don't need to write anything for the CC2538 or CC2530/CC2531 as Texas Instruments have published an API that is Open Source for it so you just compile the examples and you have a ZigBee network..
And the first example is a Tiva C using it serially via the API and fully ZigBee Pro compliant, I have used it to talk to many off the shelf sensors and switches.
The CC3200 would also be an easy on as it has the stack on board and the ARM processor would be able to run the TFT LCD and whatever switch or other apps.

A Chinese half effort was made by the banana Pi team ( Bpi G1) but they messed it up badly and are pathetic for support, unlike Mikro E.

To make their system work they point you at a cracked versions of IAR C compilers.

Your Compilers are great and if this was available it would be magnificent.

This would be great and my friends also agree.

Thanks Again
Biljana.

Hi

thank you for thinking that way about our compilers, and MikroE.
I will tell about all of your ideas to our development team!

Check out our webpage for updates :)
