Version not compatible with Windows

I've installed the version of codegrip that came with the mikroPascal Pro compiler.

When I try to start the CodeGrip Suite I get the following error.

I'm running Win7 SP1 32 bit.

On a related note, how do I get the compiled (built) program to load into the PIC16F1769 micro in my EasyPIC v8 board ?

... I've now switched to a copy of Windows 7 64 bit running as a virtual machine under VirtualBox.

I can launch codegrip, but it cannot detect the board plugged in via USB - what needs to be set for this to work ?

I googled how to get virtualbox to connect to attached devices.
However it reports that there are no connected devices.

What do I need to do to get the EasyPic v8 / Codegrip USB device to be recognised ?

Running lsusb in Ubuntu returns a list of connected USB devices;

By switching the EasyPic v8 board on/off I can deduce that the ID is 2dbc:1924

I have tried creating a USB filter in Virtualbox with those values for vendor and product id respectively. However this does not appear in the list of recognised devices

Step by step (in case anybody else has these issues)

So I added my Linux user to the virtualbox user group, and rebooted.

I can now see the CodeGrip device in the virtualbox session, but CodeGrip in the Windows session cannot find the device when it scans.

I've managed to get it connected by using the Linux version of CodeGrip, setting the wifi parameters, and then going back to my Win7 64 bit virtualbox and entering the wifi IP address before rescanning.

I now have a problem in that it won't allow me to upload the hex file.

I've opened a support ticket as I believe there is a hardware problem with the EasyPicv8 board
