Hello megzobo :D

When you start the SpeakUp.exe, please choose the (settings icon), which is available near the top right corner of the window.
After choosing the (settings icon), another window that allows you to modify the (general settings) and the (pin aliases) will appear.
The (word length) can be controlled from the second choice to the right in the (general settings) section.

I think this is what you asked for. I hope I'm right :D

Best Regards

Are we able to power this directly using AC power?
If so, what time of input heads does the board have?

Hi,

You can use the SpeakUp click in standalone and click mode.
If you use it in standalone mode you power the SpeakUp over USB (connected with the PC) or trough the VCC (3.3 V)
related with GPIO lines.
If you use SpeakUp click in click mode, you power the board over VCC on mikroBUS connector.

For more information please take a look at SpeakUp User Manual:

I had this board and it is very poorly engineered. It worked 2 out of 20 times we tried to record then repeat a voice command. I don't know what sort of marketing campaign the manufacturer is using but it is deceptive. This board simply is not capable of reliable voice recognition.
