Hi,

We haven't tested the drivers on the Windows 10, but you can download the current drivers for Windows 8, they should work.

Filip.

Hello Vlado from California :D

Today is a well deserved off day for the great technical support team of MikroElektronika :D
You'll have to wait until tomorrow to hear from them. And I'm sorry, but I don't have Windows 10 yet so that I can try to help by experiment :(

I'm guessing that there might be a need for a new version of (MikroProg suite For PIC), or maybe a new firmware for the (MikroProg for PIC) hardware programmer. The problem is that Windows 10 isn't delivered to all customers yet :(

In your picture, the USB icon in the bottom of the window of (MikroProg suite For PIC) is coloured, which means that it found a device, but for some reason, it cannot select it.

I do have a couple of questions if you may:
1- Were you able to use the same hardware on a different PC running a Windows version less than 10 without any problems?
2- What is your connected hardware (EasyPIC - MikroProg - ...)?
3- Did you try to start the (MikroProg suite for PIC) from both your compiler and as a stand alone application?

Best Regards

I am sure ME team deserve more than one day per week to get rest from all of our wishes and problems. Their job is very appreciated.
Hardware & software & drivers: http://www.mikroe.com/mikroprog/pic-dspic-pic32/
Everything was ok with win8.1 which means drivers and software was installed by ME aditional manual.

I couldn't agree more on your kind words, but for the record, they get two days off, which are today and yesterday :D
Still, we appreciate their amazing effort and time deeply :D

Could you please answer my last question in my previous post, which is "Did you try to start the (MikroProg suite for PIC) from both your compiler and as a stand alone application?"

Best Regards

The mikroprog suit runs under win10.
Start the compiler and burn the controler.
In the list from the siut there is the hardware.

MikroProg suite for PIC was used as a stand alone application.
Firewire is right, I can load hex when mikroProg is started from compiler.

We're glad that your issue got solved :D
Your post has given me the idea to avoid rushing to install Windows 10 when my reservation is delivered
Maybe I should wait until it gets more users (Including MikroElektronika's software development team) :D

btw, thanks for providing the photos. They give a clear image of what's going on

Inside of the folder mikroProg suite for PIC are located two program files, diferent names, but each of them has 1694 KB.
Could this be a problem?

Hello Vlado of California :D
I've got the same two files in my folder, and both have the same size, which is the same as yours, so no need for worries :D

Hello FireWire :D
That is quite strange
I guess I'll wait until Windows 10 gets a lot more popular before deciding to install it

Hi,

@California,
If you run the mikroProg Suite as Admin, does this help ?

Filip.
