pwdixon, thanks for the tip. Compatibility mode ftw. Still, this hasn't been fixed and it's been almost a year from the original post.

Yes, it doesn't instill a whole lot of confidence in a newcomer like me.
I'm starting to wonder if I have made the right choice :/

Hi,

We are aware of this issue under the Windows 7, and as soon as the time allows we will fix it.
Thank you for the understanding.

Regards,
Filip.

Not able to save either with version 1.2 on a Windows 8.1 computer.
Same issue when starting the program with "running as adminstrator".

Any upcoming solution for this?

Best Regards

Let's face it they said they are working hard on a fix almost 3 years ago, they aren't ever going to fix it or add any new features.

They should make it open source code then someone could improve the code for them. That'll never happen of course.

Hi,

I understand you remark, indeed this problem exist for some time.
You can try to run GLCD Font Creator in Windows XP compatibility mode (GLCD Font Creator -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Run this program in compatibility mode for: Windows XP).
In that case "Save" option should work.

Best regards,
Marina

Hello, I am experiencing these same problems. I noticed these posts are about 3 years old. When are they going to fix these bugs? I can't save, I can't export. I understand that this is a free tool, but it doesn't seem to help at all if I can't save the font files. Also, I can't select the option for the T6963c type of display. That's the one I'm using, so I really need that feature.

Is there any explanation on how to hand-write our own font files that mickroC can use? If I can't get Font Creator to work, I may as well try and do it by hand.

Thank you, Richard V

Hello,

I believe you have managed to get it to work, as I saw your another topic. Good luck with the projects.

Best regards,
Biljana

Hello Biljana. Yes, I managed to get that code working. I wasn't able to save the ".lcd" file, but I can copy and paste the generated code.

Thank you for responding.

Won't save you fonts in Windows 7 32 bit as well .... goes through the motions but does not write anything.

Hello PerGadhi and welcome to the forum :D

Did you try to run (GLCD Font Creator) in Windows XP compatibility mode?

It can be done by following these steps:
1- Right Click on (GLCD Font Creator)
2- Choose (Properties)
3- Choose (Compatibility)
4- Choose (Run this program in compatibility mode for)
5- Choose (Windows XP)

Let me know how it turns out
Best Regards

After replying to PerGadhi, I noticed that his account has only two posts, and both of those are just copy - pasted posts of other users in the same thread!

A couple of possibilities here:
1- He doesn't know how to make a post :(
2- He is just wasting our time
3- He is an AI :?
4- I am misunderstanding things, lots of things

Best Regards :D

Yeh never mind actually fixing the original problem though.
